i am looking for some fence paint, something i can use with my sprayer and lasts for multiple years. i have seen some fences that look like the paint has made them almost plastic. i remember as a child all the fences where i lived (a council estate) had this black paint on it that made the fence so tough, like i mentioned earlier - like plastic. this was not something that could be scraped off either like i imagine acrylic paint is.

i dont want a creosote sort of finish and i would like to be able to get it in a light grey.

I used the ronseal water based fence life plus as its sprayable.

Covered really well and easy to clean up but needs a little bit of touching up once a year as it doesnt penetrate much, if plants scrape it or trees etc it rubs the paint off.

Is an worth while trade off for me tho tbh.

Ronseal all seems like a creosote sort of finish.

Forums all full of smart arses.

Considering search engines are full of 'Sponsored' links that'll promise you it is the best thing since.....You get the idea, then asking as you have done on a Forum for peoples personal opinions is (IMO) better than taking note of some smart arse, who believes they know better!

As said above, some of the good deals for a massive pot of this name from those big places, can be fine, but if bushes/tree's and the like brush the fence, there is a chance it will rub off.

If doing yearly, then the above is not really a big issue.
