Hi I'm looking to replace 1.5 fence panels (a single and a cut down one, before anyone gets clever:p). I'm going to upload a pic when I get chance of the type I have, but am I wasting my time trying to find a replacement that is like for like as there seem to be so many different types (except the one I want, although this fence is 12 years old). If anyone could tell me the type of fence I'd appreciate it.

They look quite heavy duty, so either quite specialist, or custom made I would guess.

You might be better either making some the same if your good at diy, or asking a chippie to do so. Thats probably only a couple of hours work for someone with the correct tools.
There is often a small metal plate on higher end panels that may give you a clue, can you check both sides?

Edit to say they could be a premium featheredge thats been orientated 90 degrees to the normal, some people prefer the look to the main slats running horizontal

I did wonder if it was rotated as I'd seen a few the other way round. Access is the biggest issue to change the 1.5 panels, I've got less than a foot of space between the fence and my shed, not impossible, but definitely not one for a windy day:cry:. My thinking is give it a good couple of coats before fitting it.

Sorry also meant to say that's not a bad match.
 
Have a look at the opposite side of the panel, there is often a little metal badge with the makers name in the middle of the top cross beam.
If access is an issue, ask your neighbour can you remove and drop in the panel from their side?

Unfortunately access is even more of an issue there, think couple of inches at most.
 
Looks quite standard to me - but check you 'own' the fence first.

Traditionally that orientation (the struts your side) you don't own the panel - the owner has the 'nice' side!

You'll struggle to buy half a panel, quite easy to do yourself, or get a chippie to do it. Ideally need to put an end strut on it and not just cut the thing in half! ;)

Did 16 of these around our place 3-4 years ago (pre-covid) and cost £32 a panel from local timber merchant. Free delivery too. I scrimped and left 3 old ones up behind the shed and side of the house but for the hassle of doing them on my own (had help the first time) should've just done them then.
