Fenerbahce kicked out of CL

Not that I believe it but the reason is said to be because we're the highest ranked side out of the CL.

I suppose that would be the fairest way of deciding :p

We will never get it, where do we sit now in european rankings, that old ***** manager we used to have brought us to the top before his last year.
 
Some are now saying Arsenal will qualify regardless of tonights result. If Arsenal lose, they'd then become the highest ranked side outside of the CL.

However if Arsenal win, Liverpool would be but would UEFA allow 5 English sides in again? And does the above theory count for **** anyway?

Well honestly it should go to the next turkish team.
But if arsenal are knocked out letting them back in is very very stupid.

I wonder what chants would start if we got in and won the tournament.
 
I don't think Liverpool or Arsenal should be given the spot really. I can't see Arsenal losing tonight, but surely Spurs should get the shot (having finished 5th) if any English side is going to take the place of Fenerbahce.

I don't believe the rumours but why should Spurs be given the spot? Why not the 5th place side from Spain or Italy, or the team that finished 1 place outside the CL spots from another country?

Surely the only fair and logical way would be to give it to the next placed Turkish side.
 
lol what, why would Liverpool get it. I think because Fenerbache are national champs, that it goes to either a team from Turkey who gained a place and has failed to qualify so far, or it'll go to another champion team from a different nation that doesn't get auto qualification to the group stage for finishing 1st in their league, think they draw it out of a pot. I think it's the latter, something along them lines any way.

I just meant if an English club were to be given the spot, to me, it would only seem fair that it were Spurs. (I'm not a Spurs fan btw :p)

But I do agree, it should be the next placed Turkish side.
 
It should in no way be an English club. If it is that's just ridiculous.

It should be the second placed Turkish team or the champions of a national league one below Turkey, whichever league that may be.

The reasoning behind why Arsenal or Liverpool might get the spot has nothing to do with them being English though but because of their ranking in the UEFA Coefficient.
 
I think everyone will agree we would've finished in the top 4 had it not been for Hodgson last season so this is probably a consolation prize from UEFA :)

Don't think it would hurt to have an apology from FIFA while we're at it.
