I just bought some from my local Italian deli as a present for my other half. The lady in there was telling me to keep it in the fridge but now I've gotten home I'm not sure if she meant just for serving (i.e. chill before serving) or if it needs to be in the fridge to keep properly/safely?

It's this sort of thing; https://www.youdreamitaly.com/en/Finocchietto-30-500-ml.xhtml?id=170

I'm sure there's nothing in it bar fennel, water, sugar etc?

Slightly difficult to hide it in the fridge! Any ideas?

Yeah I think she meant that it's chilled before serving. You don't need to put baileys in the fridge and that's got cream in it!
Yeah I just translated the ingredients. Literally sugar, water, alcohol something and fennel seeds/flowers. Can't see that needing to be in the fridge. Phew!

We both like fennel so I'm intrigued to see what it tastes like!

That site says "frozen to be enjoyed".

I think like @MikeTheNative said it means you can (should?) freeze before serving. Like limoncello maybe. It's not that one I've bought btw.

There's nothing in it that would require freezing?

Sorry missed half my reply. Yeah I don't think it'll need refrigerating to stay good. More just a case of making it cold before serving.
