Fermi multidisplay

Ahhhh I've found out where it's at.

Will start a new thread in a second for it, you will LOL! :D

Apparently the max resolution that will be output to each screen is 1920 x 1080.

:D :D

Bare in mind thats for 120Hz 3D on dual link DVI... and that may not be the actual limit - in theory bandwidth is there for upto 2048x but its very tight - there may or may not be enough for the overhead.

Will it be possible to use multiple displays but without 3D Vision, so that you could just use normal 60Hz screens, or will this only work with 3D Vision?

3 x 120Hz screens isn't going to be cheap, then you've got the graphics card on top of that.. or will this work with previous gen cards like 2 x 280's in SLi?

Should work fine at 60Hz for non 3D - afaik it will be working on 200 series cards too but you can only drive a max of 2 displays per card.

I hope it does work on GT200 cards, I've just bought a 2nd one off the MM for a nice price so I can try them in SLi.

^^ with the same Maingear Shift rig as well!!!!

I'm starting to think they've only got one system with working fermi's inside.

They really need to stop talking about all this multi-monitor BS unless they're going to buy us the required screens first.

This is Nvidia marketing though, they'll just keep going on and on.

Helpfully the fact they cant do over 1920 x 1080, and its a pointless will be enough to end this nonsense, and monitor we'll see some proper monitor development.

1920x1080 for 3 screens at 120Hz in 3D is pretty nice (if you like that kinda thing)... and your not gonna notice the higher resolution so much as you would normally.
