Stepped nose and a rather big snout. Reminds me of an Aardvark or something.

ok it's not making a great impression on people but what is it about the nose that people don't like?

I'm actually not that keen on any of it but if it wasn't stepped it wouldn't look tooo bad imo. The tip isn't _that_ bad looking.

It's the fact that it's coupled with a step that makes it look pretty ugly though :/

edit- actually I take that back, the front nose tip is ugly :|

Nothing to do with aesthetics, crashes the likes of Alonso's at Spa have called for safety measures to be implemented whereby the nose cone is low enough that in the incidence of a tbone crash the driver won't be subject to the risk of getting injured or worse.

It's just a shame that with this the designers haven't been able to design noses which are more aesthetically pleasing.

Having said that I really like the Mclaren's nose except for the nose tip.

Rules state that exhaust gases cannot be used to gain downforce. So I doubt it.
