I think I'd have cut a few more out of these. Not many but a couple.

Also, the shots through the windows. Nice idea, but the glass you're shooting through dulls the images I feel. Perspective I like, but windows needed to be opened (I'm aware they couldn't be)

Really nice set of images, however you need to look at your macro technique mate as the DOF on the macro dress shot is far too thin to capture all of the detail and I found the blurred parts very distracting.

I do like the black and white images and most of the couple stuff, plus nice processing technique that suited the "winter theme" idea.

Cheers mate :)

Yeh I'm a little annoyed with myself on that one, ideally I would have stopped down to around 2.8, or narrower if there is enough light.

Sods law mate. Its taken me a long time to get out of the frame of mind when it comes to aperture selection when using my 105mm macro lens. Even F10 at minimum focus distance has a very shallow DOF lol. If you used a "normal" lens, I suppose its just a harsh lesson really, although I bet the couple with love it regardless, unless one of them is as fanatical about photos as us saddos :P

I enjoyed looking at these; really like the ones with the multiple apertures (?) - help set the scene.

However, the monochrome ones didn't really appeal to me; processing doesn't do it for me for a wedding.

Great set nonetheless.

do you give the couple a chose on the dig noise added or not ?,
it looks a bit heavy handed for my taste.

No.. I'm looking for clients who share my taste. I would much rather 50% love it and 50% hate it, rather than 100% feeling indifferent.

Below was the clients response.
"OMG OMG OMG!!! These photos are amazing!!! I was initially worried if the shots during the evening reception would be dark (due to limited natural lights) but you made the pictures look so perfect!!"

Once the sun went down I was mostly at ISO 12800 (25600 effective) especially during the speeches, so there is going to be grain in most of the set whether I like it or not...

I just don't think a lot of the photos convey the happiness of a wedding. In one shot, the brides mother and father look like they're at a funeral rather than a wedding.

You must mean the ones of the grooms parents. That is how they looked.

Regarding the pictures of people with camera's etc.. you probably haven't realised that the brides mother wasn't there. She couldn't make it due to a medical condition and was watching over a live internet feed. The pictures of her son's holding a video camera, is effectively the closest I could get to documenting how the mother of the bride enjoyed the wedding.

As for the rest of your opinion, it's cool, it's exactly what I expect from a % of people, but I couldn't disagree more. Merry Christmas :)

Why did you delete your post? Half the pictures are boring to me too, but I just put it down to not having a relationship with any of these people.
