Hey guys,

Now ive been thinking of getting me one of those latest gadgets,An android tablet.

But not really sure what makes them them good or bad ones,Most have different specs.

Should i be going for one that has "resistive" or "Capacitive" touch screen?

Also...a lot of them comes with android version 2.2,How can i be sure that whatever tablet i go for will support/update to 2.3?....is there anything specific 2.3 needs?

appreciate the help. ;)

Check out the Scroll Excel 3D 7". Reviewed on Gadget Show its £130 quid! Im getting one, wifi, 3D playback support (use on your 3D telly). SD expansion, capacitative screen, USB...1gb processor 512 mem. HDMI out, HD playback 1080p support! It looks brilliant and im sure this would do just fine!

The scroll has a screen resolution of 800x480. Lots of 7" tablets with the same resolution.

Arnova G2 range. 8" version has 800x600, 9.7" - 1024x768. 10" - 1024 x600. All with Multi-touch, Android 2.3. Arnova is the budget brand of Archos. ;)

Archos G9 range. 8" - 1024 x768. 10" - 1280 x800. multi-touch. Currently Android 3.2 but ICS is coming first week of February.

I don't know all the prices , but Archos 80G9 8GB can be found for £200.
Lookout for the 'screen ripple' on the 8" models which some people can't live with.

BTW there is a tablets forum ;)
