OKay, I've been setting things in my bios voltage etc.. which were on "auto". But there are a few things that I'm not sure about what I should set them to. I've tried to find out by searching on the internet and I've found a few settings, but there are still some settings im unsure about. I'll write all my settings here, and mark the settings I'm unsure about with red. The reason I'm posting all the settings is so that if someone would be kind enough to check that I haven't set something seriously wrong that could damage my hardware.
And before you read through the settings I think I should mention my pc specs
Asus P5E - Bios version 0607
q9450
Gskill 4 gig ddr800 4-4-3-5
Here are the settings
Ai Overclock Tuner Manual
CPU Ratio Setting 8.0
Fsb Frequency 333
Fsb Strap to North Bridge Auto
has this setting got anything to do with the dram:fsb divider? and what should it be set to, or can I keep it on auto?
PCIE Frequency 100
Dram Frequency DDR2-800mhz
Dram Command Rate 2T
Dram timing Control Manual
Cas# Latency 4
Ras# to Cas# delay 4
Ras# Precharge 3
Ras# active time 5
Now here are some settings that i have no idea about can I leave them on auto?
Ras# to Ras# delay Auto
Raw Refresh Cycle time Auto
Write recovery time Auto
Read to Precharge Time Auto
Read to write delay (S/D) Auto
Write to read delay (S) Auto
Write to read delay (D) Auto
Read to read delay (S) Auto
Read to read delay (D) Auto
Write to write delay (S) Auto
Write to write delay (D) Auto
So can all these settings be left on auto?
Dram Static Read Control Auto
Ai Clock Twister Auto
Transaction Booster Auto
Vcore Voltage 1.125
CPU PLL Voltage 1.5
FSB Termination Voltage 1.2
Dram Voltage 2.1
North Bridge Voltage 1.25
South Bridge Voltage 1.05
Should I change the next 4 settings to anything or just leave them like they are?
Loadline Calibration Auto
CPU GTL Reference Auto
North Bridge GTL Reference Auto
SB 1.5V Voltage Auto
and finally
CPU Spread Spectrum Auto
PCIE Spread Spectrum Auto
Should these 2 settings be disbaled?
I haven't found any where the PCI Clock Synchronization mode, do I need to worry about that or is it so that my bios doesn't have this setting?
And are there any other settings I should change or check before I start ocing?
So basiclly what I would like to know is that, will I damage my hardware with these settings?
