few choices of GTX260?

why is there so little choice of GTX260 on ocuk? is there any particular reason for not stocking say for example XFX?

just that the GTX280 has much more choice (although still not XFX). i was just wondering why the 260 has so little.

i was hoping to buy one from overclockers due to the good service ive experienced in the past, but they do not sell the one i want

I was thinking that too. Unfortunetly I will be buying my graphics card elsewhere unless they get some more selection.

Well i seem to remember when they first came out there been a lot more choice. The 260 gtx was not considerd a good choice by many when it first came out becuase of the price and the compertion from ati. So looks like ocuk have sold off there stock and not botherd to order anymore.

I'm glad i orderd mine just after the price drops becuase it seems liek the price of them hae gone up a bit.

Well the newer version (216) surfaced fairly recently, could be due to that. Also I remember hearing that there is a price drop planned soon. This will certainly make the GTX260 more attractive if it's the same or less than the 4870.

I'm pretty certain the price drop is was meant to have happened this week, and it was brought up by some people in another thread querying when OCuk were gonna drop the prices. Unfortunately that thread got deleted, most likely deleted due to people posting prices and details of competitors.

I'd keep an eye on this thread and maybe one of the ocuk guys will clear things up for us.

They have stopped manufacturing the 192 versions of the 260. As moo has stated maybe they're getting rid of old stock.
TBH I would wait until Xmas time - there is more than likely going to be price drops/new products out then.

Problem is any price drop has been wiped out by the fall in the pound hence cards still at same price.

XFX has a bad rep with OCUK and so they had a fall out a while back IIRC.

XFX CS has always been crap.
