Right a mate got a supersaurus yesterday but is having a few problems, I wondered if u guys could offer some help.

Firstly the pc has a ssd drive and a 1tb drive. Now when he tried to install something or double clicked the hdd its says 'you need to format the disk in drive d: before you can use it'.

Also it says under properties used space 0 and free space 0.Does he just need to simply do the format that pops up when you double click it, is it something connection wise inside or is the hdd b0rked ?

Now secondly he got a wireless lan adapter, a Addon 300mbs NWU281. The PC fails to recognize it, drivers are installed from the cd that came with it. I can try see if newer drivers are available for download but I think the adapter might be faulty (or useless) was wondering if anyone else had one or issues with one.

I doubt the HDD would just fail. I guess you could try it in another system to see if it does the same and then act accordingly.

If it's a USB adapter try a different port. If it's a Gigabit port then it could be faulty. Failing that I'd try to update the drivers.

You sure D: is the hard drive, it's usually the dvd drive allocated to that letter and when you go to properties with no no dvd in, it will say 0 used and 0 free.

If you open "Disk Management", the hard drive should be listed there. From here you will have to initialise the drive (create volume and format).

this will get it to work :)

this ^ should work, then if that don't you know you've got a problem.
