Thanks :) had a basically perfect day yesterday and enjoyed walking and taking the shots as the 50mm F1.8 lens i got a few weeks back really is beginning to grow on me. The bad news is i so want more prime lens now :( my bank account wont be happy.

I'm starting to feel like I'm becoming Simon Cowell, not to Matt's level though ;) Anyway. The clouds are burnt out on the first, is that because you were exposing for the ground or compensating in Photoshop? You could fix it by using the dodge tool on the ground to bring that out a bit and the burn tool on the sky to darken that a bit. Set the dodge to 14% and highlights, burn to 14% and shadows.

The 2nd seems a bit flat. Have you played with the levels to boost the shadows/highlights? Its possible that the light was a bit too harsh at that time of day. It seems like a great view point if you could get there closer to sunset/sunrise.

The 3rd has a bit of a building chopped off. I think it would look better cropped out. But that might decentralise the clock tower.

The composition is good in them, however I feel they need better light or processing to bring them to life.

1st maybe over done somewhere will need to go back and look at where it went wrong in PS.

2nd wasn't a lot i could do with the sunlight where i was at the time of day and even using my strongest grad ND, this processed version is a lot better than the original shot as that is even paler.

3rd i did ponder removing the other building but left it in to try to balance the statue on the left, was a difficult shot to process.
