Hi,

Are you able to use day insure on a car already with a fully comp cover on it (abeit for someone else)? Also in the event of a crash, would it affect the NCB of the driver on the full year fully comp policy.

In other words my brother is wanting to use my car for a day to get to an interview. If he crashed would it negatively affect me in any way?

No, I dont believe that you can. There is not allowed to be multiple insurance policies on one car

Quoted from the site.. dayinsure.com provides short period motor insurance:

* For emergency usage such as
o a temporary additional driver

Personally id take it from that as yes...But its your call :)

Yes you can insure an already insured car.

No it will not affect the NCB of the driver with the full year policy - this is because he was not driving, and the person who was driving was seperately insured.

If he crashed it would not negatively affect you, assuming he pays any excesses involved :)

Yes you can!

If the car is in a smash then the persons insurance would sort it out so if it was Day insure then the other policy wouldnt know a thing.

If it was stolen then the insurance costs would be split 50/50..

Yes, you can.

I have used it multiple times in the past to drive my Dads 530d. The good thing about Dayinsure is that if you crash and the car is written off, the owner gets the payout not you.
