Sorry sorry sorry..but have to ask here before I can hit the checkout button.

Really what do people think of the basic 2.7Intel mac? and its graphics card.
I am mostly going to work with CS5 the home HD video stuff ( no more than 10 mins at a time really though), though will be buying the crucial 8GB kit for myself.

Does Razor still do the V.1.6 mouse that works with Mac..expose etc...I cant stand the god awful magic mouse things!..ugh!

I cant afford Applecare right now..is it possible to pick it up before the first year is out?..even if its a little more?

ALso any other input or suggestions would be acknowledged.

I can only help with some of your questions in this thread.

Apple Care can be purchased before the inital 12 month warrenty finishes. My iMac the base 27" model has chewed up everything which has been chucked at it. Importing/Exporting 720p Video working on Aperture, iPhoto, iMovie all the office applications very responsive and the Mac OSX is a pleasure to work on. Using Parallells I can run a virtual machine (uses 90% of 4GB) but that wont be an issue for you I am currently too lazy to upgrade it but it runs a virtual machine in windows and also plays a need for speed title fine in Parallels. I have ran Crysis on the max resolution high settings slight bit of lag, maybe medium settings on that resoultion will be fine. Medal of Honor Airbourne great looking game runs perfectly as do titles such as Bioshock, CSS, Half Life, Cod 4 in bootcamp. Only slowdown when dealing with large file is the hard disk its not a SSD which is the issue but obviously that is a choice and can be added if you really feel it needs it but for 90% of average stuff its such a great all round machine.

If buying from Apple have you checked out the refurbished macs? Cheaper and sold with exactly the same terms and warranty options as a new one.

Asides from the box the refurbished one will be exactly the same as a new one.

Also remember topcashback for 3%.
