Hey guys, used to play WoW a few years ago but gave the account to my brother, he took the char from lvl 60 to 70 and now i feel like i want to play again...

Though I can see myself only really playing PvP, my main questions are;
1. How much is it to change the char to another realm?
2. The PvP rewards, how do you achieve the new lvl 70 ones, when i played previously i got exalted with arathor etc and got all their epics but they seem useless now... Is it difficult to get the new PvP stuff? And any more info?

I believe its about £15 to change realm, but you cant change from a non-pvp realm to a pvp one.

You get honour points for winning/losing battlegrounds and killing other players, you can exchange your points for pvp rewards although it does take a long time to gain enough points for the epic stuff

As said above its 15 quid for the transfer, for PVP you use the honor you gain from kills as a currency now. Season 4 PVP was released today so its like new life to PVP again everyone will be going for that in arena.

Firstly there's honor rewards which you buy with points gained through world PvP, battlegrounds and also by quests. There's also daily battleground quests which reward honor and also you can hand in the badges you get from playing battlegrounds for honor also. Basically with these you can buy various epic PvP items, trinkets, gems...etc, plus the arena gear from last season.

Also there's arena points which you get at the end of every week. You're given these based on the rating of your team. You have to play at least 10 games to receive points. Higher team rating = more points. You can use these to buy the current season arena gear, also I believe you'll be able to buy epic gems with them now too.

These days obtaining most PvP gear is pretty easy and very casual friendly, you really don't have to put much time in.

That sounds better than what took for me to get the arathi/alterac epics... Back before multi realm BGs, 99% of time waiting for BGs :o

to give an idea, a epic pvp chest costs around 15000 honor points and 30 or so marks, for an AV win (which grants most honor) you get about 300-500 honor depending how many towers you destroyed/defended and 3 marks. A normal game lasts about 15 minutes and queues on my server are instant.

The first 'blue' set you should pick up from various quartermasters (honoured with 5 different factions I think - pretty easy to get). This will give you some much needed resilience so you survive a bit longer. Running around BG's/arenas with 0 resilience in PvE gear means you'll get spanked against well geared players :P
Then you should start grinding battlegrounds for honour and marks so you can pick up the non-set/season 1/season 2 epics. Do your 10 arenas a week too so you can buy a few pieces of season 3/season 4 now and then. This bit might take a while as the honour rewards aren't cheap, and as said above, one AV only gives you about 500 honour :S
Once you've got a decent amount of resilience (400+) I'd suggest a heavy focus on playing arenas. You'll probably get over 1800+ rating easily once you have some decent gear behind you and skilled arena partners. You'll probably find you get geared up pretty quick by this stage as your gear will give you some easy wins.

Good luck.

The PvP items are way more accessable now than they were pre-tbc.

No more Arathi/Alterac/WSG faction grind.

No more X honor/week to try and get ranking higher.

You just earn honor points, and spend them on items as you desire.

Its fantastic for casual players.

What's even better is that you can now get the Season 2 Area gear through honour points. It's a pretty decent set to get and will allow you to last every so slightly longer against the full S4 arena guys :D

Transferring a character is very easy, it generally only takes about an hour.
