Few questions on 970's?

Hi Guys,

Am going to be buying the first of my new GPU's this weekend if all goes well and then the 2nd as and when needed and am looking at the infinity black edition 970's.

Am wondering when I go down the SLI route will my current Superflower Leadex Gold 750W power supply be enough or will I need to replace that as well?

Am currently running 3 hard drives, one of which is totally redundant and on it's last legs... and one optical drive with my current GPU a GTX 570


Also will I see a massive improvement jumping to the 970 in games like War Thunder, GTA V, Far Cry 4 etc etc?

750W is fine for Sli 970s. A 970 is a huge upgrade from a 570, expect to double your frame rates in most games at least.

A 970 is slightly more than double a 570, and your psu is more than good enough, it could run 2x980 and I think those superleadex psu are meant to be good for reducing coil whine. Something to do with ripple lol.

look into coil wine further, some people with good PSU's are not getting whine free results from the so called coil whine reduction cards!

PSU is plenty.

This particular card has a no coil whine guarantee. If there's noticeable coil whine just return it for another.
