Started up cycling last year around June/July and it wasnt until November that I really got into it, mainly offroad, not really sure whats it actually called but I got to a local forest which has numerous courses through the woods, the longest being 7.4 miles.

Anyway my bike currently is a Giant Talon 2 which I got for £395 I think it was, RRP of £550 normally as far as I know. Anyway Today I tried the most difficult of the trials which apart from leaving me with a very sore arse thanks to all the bumps, ditches, jumps and general ruggedness of the terrain, I'm thinking for that sort of thing which I enjoyed very much it may be worth investing in a full suspension bike.

So any recommendations ? I'd have my current bike's value (no idea that is) + about £600-700 more.

Have you tried any adjustments/upgrades to your current bike yet? It's amazing the difference that a good set of tyres and a decent saddle can make. You could also consider upgrading the front suspension possibly too.

However if you do actually want to go full suspension then you'll need to decide whether it's air or coil suspension you want. I haven't been paying proper attention for a while now so can't really offer specific bikes to look at but as a guess you'll probably end up with maybe £200-250 for your old bike so you're probably looking in the £800ish sort of price range. Just had a quick look and the Norco Fluid looks like it might be reasonable but I've got no idea how it rides.
