The gearbox on my 02 Citroen Xsara is finally starting to give up, the car is still driving but sounds awful under engine breaking, thinking about trading it in and getting an older car, e.g Mondeo, any idea how much i might get p/x on the Xsara and anything i specifically need to look out for on the mondeo?

Will be looking at around 2000 mondeo, do 12-13000 miles a year, plenty of motorway.
