Hello Overclockers!

I had to RMA my Radeon 7850 back to overclockers today because the fan on it was making a god awful noise whenever I booted my pc up in the morning. I literally had to give the fan a little nudge before any life came into it.

When I phoned up the guy gave me an RMA number and i posted it.

Now I have a few questions.

1) My card is just under 6 months old, is this kind of thing normal for it to break? I didn't over clock it as the card ran games just fine without needing to.

2) How long does it take for them to return the card (fixed) or send out a replacement?

Thanks in advance for any help.

1) Certain components do and can fail prematurely, just unlucky.

2) Depends if they have to send it back to the manufacturer, can take upto several weeks, my XFX 4870X2 took around 2 months I think, had to go back to XFX and them to issue a refund.

depends who the card is made by and their warranty policy.

My EVGA took me 1 week to get my replacement which was an upgrade for free as well.

It was this card:

It was a good card till this happened :(
