Few shots from the Renault World Series Day

It was a lovely day, great weather and was the first time I have ever took my camera to a car racing day or anything simular so I was quite pleased with some of my results. Even if I filled 3 memory cards in the process. I was only using a 100-300 canon lens brought off ebay so at full length its not the sharpest but it does ok.

Im still going thru the rest of my cards and havent seen how the F1 car has come out but it was one of the best free days out ive had in a long time and gave me the hunger to take some more motorsport shots soon. Including speaking to lots of people with the ruddy big white L lens. Hmmmm

To be honest you should have only posted the first three images and left it at that. The others just look like poor snapshots compared.

Totaly agree with King_Boru. The action / panning shots have come out really well, nice blurred bacgrounds & movement on the wheels, they look good. However, the stills are sloppy. The composition is totally off, you've chopped half of the red/black megane (?) off, and lost the bumper from the green/yellow one. Try getting down to ground level with car shots and make sure you don't crop bits of the subject off with your composition

Yup fair point looking back I know what you mean. I have got to get a wider lens as I was in a tight space and struggled to take the shots without random people standing in front hense chopping some bystanders off with the car too lol. Glad to hear that the others are ok too I had plenty of space when I took them :-)
