Didnt have my tripod with me which was annoying, but a handy railing just about did the job for the last one :p

they all look well composed and the colours are good....wether its my eyes or not i dont know, but they all look out of focus :(

hooray! :p thanks for your comment mate. Yes looking at them i agree some are a bit out of focus, ill probably go back with my tripod next time and do them again. :)

I think the last photo could do with a much shorter exposure. You only need 1/4 to 1/2 of a second, if that, to get silky water. It looks like clay or cement to me in that photo.

Good effort though. :)

I think they are in focus, but the depth of field is tiny
or is could be the kit lens, either way they are soft.
also the colour contrast is very high, tweaked to this effect? I thought I was looking at fuji digital photos

long exposure on the streams can look really good but you've picked a subject with lots of foliage in frame, if there's any wind then this blurrs the whole border out, which means that your nice flowing etheral water motion doesn't look starkly different to the wafting blurring flora, which is tricky

I'm a amateur 350D owner too but there's nothing going for me really
the one on the stairs though, if you took a tripod and played with HDR or and infrared exposure, that could make it a lot more dynamic, just my tuppence

thanks for the tips guys, they will really help :) i like the idea of the IR filter, didnt think of that :p

They're nicely composed but you've used the flash. If its the onboard flash that should never ever be used. The light isn't very nice. The areas where you're taking the shots are too dark and you've tried to compensate using the flash. Always use natural light. Its just so nice.
