Few TDCI questions..

Does the engine need warming up properly like a petrol before accelerating fast ect?

How often does the oil need changing?

Doesnt anyone know how often the Cam belt needs changing on a 1.8 Tdci

Depends how you define need. The car will rev to the redline when it's cold, but it won't do the engine and particularly the turbo any good. Keep it below 3000rpm for the first mile and it'll be fine.

Service intervals are every 12,500 miles with a major service every 37,500.

Cambelt interval is 100,000 miles I think.

My Dad seems to think it will be worth while changing the oil and filter and 6k, would anyone else bother?

6k oil change is not a bad idea if you're planning on keeping it for years. They don't use liquid gold oil so you can get oil and filter for under £30.

I've never bothered with either of mine though.
