Few upgrade questions before I pull the trigger (TR-UE, DS3R, P182 related)

Hey

Thus far I have bought a 2 x 1GB pack of Corsair xms2 ram with the big silver heat sinks on, a P182 and a StealthXStream 600w PSU.

Now I'm looking at buying the other parts and am looking at the following:

Q6600
Thermalright Ultra Extreme with S-Flex 1600rpm fan
Mobo - either the Gigabyte DS3R or the MSI P35 NEO2-FR
8800gt - any that is available
PSU extension cable
(I have hdd, dvd and everything else needed)

I have a few questions;

1) I have read many horror stories regarding the DS3R, would it be better to go with the NEO2-FR? What are people's experiences like with the NEO2? I'm not overly interested in additional ports, but I do like the idea of having eSATA which I believe the NEO2 brings to the table. Obviously I'm going to want to overclock too, from what I've read the NEO2-FR can do a pretty hefty FSB (as can the DS3R), is this true?

2) Will the Thermalright Extreme fit into my case? Will it fit on the Neo2-FR and/or the DS3R? I was also looking at the Ultima-90 but haven't been able to see any results with it on a quad?
