FF problem

So, I upgraded to FF3 yesterday, only now I seem to have lost about a months worth of bookmarks and saved forms. Also the address bar seems to be dredging up sites that have should have expired from my history months ago.

Any ideas what has happened to my profile and how I can restore it?

Oh and have just been reminded, Alt-S doesn't submit posts on this forum any more, fairly annoying as this is what I use it for almost exclusively, can it be fixed?
 
ff keeps plenty of backups of your bookmarks in your profile folder, just rename the old ones to restore
 
hmm. Well I had a look in my profile folder, at least what used to be my profile folder anyway (C:\Users\Simon\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0dlmcfa1.default) and both Bookmarks.html and Bookmarks.bak contain the correct up to date bookmarks. So why am I getting this old version.
This is pretty darn annoying, but at least I know where my proper bookmarks are. What's most annoying is what happened to my saved passwords :confused:
 
Firefox 3 uses places.sqlite for history and bookmarks, and another file for passwords - if you used a version of Fx3 before with the same profile, it won't reimport your stuff...

Fx2 used Alt-Shift-S by default as well, but the option is ui.key.contentAccess.
 
OK thanks, i'll remember for next time. Managed to sort it though, just deleted all the bookmarks and imported the HTML with the organiser. Then copy signons2.txt and dump it into signons3.txt. All fixed, happy again now :)
