ffdshow and media player classic

Installed: ffdshow and media player classic.

played with some picture setting on ffdshow, ie- sharpen ect.

played some dvd's on my laptop with media player classic
and they look no better.

to see any improvements should i be running it through classic player or
some how opening the dvd with ffdshow?

i just want to upscale/improve dvd playback picture quality.
Windows XP and 1200x800 res.

Have you got a link to download WMP Classic the ones ive found are only for exe's that dont install.

just to note its improved my avi downloads but not effected my dvd's.

maybe some bright spark can stop eating turkey and help us out

i have downloaded a few legal free films online
they are in AVI format.
they run nicer.

the movies i own on dvd look no better.

I see what you mean, my just need to edit the ffdshow settings now.
