Maybe of interest to some, Fantasy Flight Games will cease their relationship with Games Workshop on February 28th, 2017 (source). Products affected will be:

  • Black Crusade
  • Blood Bowl: Team Manager
  • Chaos in the Old World
  • Chaos Marauders
  • Dark Heresy
  • Dark Heresy Second Edition
  • Deathwatch
  • Forbidden Stars
  • Fury of Dracula
  • Only War
  • Relic
  • Rogue Trader
  • Space Hulk: Death Angel
  • Talisman
  • Warhammer: Diskwars
  • Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
  • Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game
  • Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game
  • Warhammer 40,000: Conquest
  • All Fantasy Flight Supply products showing imagery licensed to Games Workshop

I think this is a shame, I have and play a lot of those. I wonder how well Games Workshop's own model for board/card games will fare compared to FFG, quality, price and support will be interesting to see.

For anybody interested in any of the above games, you might want to get them now, or complete your collections, before they disappear forever.

I'm tempted to buy into Warhammer Invasion before it's gone, but as I haven't bought anything yet the cost is a bit prohibitive (for a completionist).

So, how long to I have to pick up Forbidden Stars then...

Buy it as soon as you can, as it sounds like FFG won't be re-ordering beyond existing factory runs (if there are any). Popular FFG products can take a while to restock at the best of times with some shops.

GW are probably looking to maximise profit by making their own games or they were asking for a heftier cut.

nearly picked up Warhammer Quest today until i did a quick search and found out this news meaning so expansions will be released and in a campaign based game it means its very limited.

Has a plus side though as i ordered Eldritch Horror instead.

Only game i have on the list is Space Hulk Death Angel and the expansions are hard enough to get hold of as it is, thankfully the base game has enough to keep me playing.

I've picked up the remaining expansions I needed for Talisman, Death Angel and Warhammer Conquest.

I already had Fury of Dracula and BB Team Manager, and just placed an order for Forbidden Stars.
