FFIII. Stuck!! ***SPOLIERS***

Okey dokey. Decided against looking for an FAQ as i'd probably find loads of stuff i've missed so far and i'd be tempted to read a few bits later on. I'll probably play it again some day and it's much more fun to find the bits you missed yourself

Anyway, my problem..... Once you've got the ship, sorted the sea monster thing and got the the Dwarf Island (or something like that) then you have a wander through the dungeon and get their ice horn back. (Aren't you nice ), then matey nicks it again and so you go through the lava type dungeon to get him.
First question, is there a way to avoid being burnt by the lava??

Second question. How the bloody hell do you beat the boss?? He's a real sod!!

Been about 3 years since I played the NES version........ but if I remember correctly you can buy some Ice Armor from the Dwarves, which resists fire. Should help with both bits if I remember correctly

I just walked throughthe lava healing as needed, the boss was incredibly easy, I was hitting him with a sword for 1.5k

It's simple, explore the dungeon till you find the sword in a chest which strikes for frost damage, equip your melee character with it. Make sure you have blizzard spells and those items which inflict frost damage.

Get your weaker chars to sue the frost items, a caster to cast frost spells and your warrior to whack him with your frosty sword... I took him down in about 3 turns that way!

I'm totally stuck and hope someone can help

I'm at Dragon's Peak (after just giving the Elixir to the lady in Canaan), but I can't seem to find anywhere to go. I have found the three chests, and a walkthrough I found said something about a nest and boss Bahamut...but there is nothing at the location given.

Am I missing something or have I hit a bug?

???!!! i'm confused!! I've goot the sword, it does about 400 damage and thats whilst equipped with aserpant sword too (on a warrior)

I must be doing something wrong.......

Hmm that is strange... mine was on a warrior in the right hand,
but can't remember what was in the left (it was another sword). i hit him (not crit) for 1400 minimum every turn! What job level is your warrior? Mine had been warrior since the ability to change jobs first became active.

Regardless, if you have blizzard / blizzadra and the Antartic Wind items, it should be a walkover. Make sure you have a dedicated healer who cures every turn, except the first where he should use Antartic Wind.
