FFS Orange!!!!!!

I thought that was a perfectly reasonable reply if you ask me :D

It would have been if I hadn't already done that and didn't ask that question in the first place.

"Anyone got texts off Orange in the middle of the night?"

"OMGZ!!11!! ring Orange and ask"

It also would have been amusing if it didn't come from a weirdo little troll.

Anyone else getting stupid text messages from Orange in the middle of the night?

03:29 - Orange Update, we have updated your settings blah blah

04:00 - To use BT Openzone WiFI hotspots blah blah

Next day.........

00:59 - Great news, your phone has picked up T-Mobile blah blah

06:59 - More T-Mobile guff

WTF is wrong with these people, is that not something is place to stop the automated BS texts in the middle of the night?

Yup, received my "your 250MB for this month is active" or whatever it says at 2am. Also, orange wednesdays offers and others in the middle of the night

Phone is usually on silent though, so no worries.

I use it as my alarm and for emergencies so need to keep it on.

Yeah I've spoken to them now and they have agreed that it's out of order and they have had complaints.

My original question was to ask if anyone else has these problems but it got lost with Robbie trying to be clever and failing.

Hardly an emergency if someone is texting. Put message tones to silent, solves your problem.

Without reading the thread fully, if you have a android phone sweet dreams is good in these situations , you can set data/sounds all to mute all in handy profiles.

Might be worth looking at and for what its worth yep its stupid and bloody annoying

You don't think that would have been a useful nugget of information to include in the op? Or did you think that we all automatically knew that you had been down that route?

You failed to state that you'd already tried Orange CS in the OP. Even if it was obvious that you'd already tried, what was not obvious was Orange's reponse, a response that may have helped people direct their replies more appropriately.
You also failed to state the make and model of your phone.
What you succeeded in doing however, was showing yourself up as a angry gypo with questionable temprament.

i dont have a problem with random messages from orange during the night, no. however i still put my blackberry on 'phone only' which is silent unless i get a call. I figure if its an emergency, people will be ringing me, not texting.
