I'm wanting to build a new PC for FFXIV, mainly for when Heavensward comes out. £600 is to allow me to also buy this screen (isn't included with the £600, just so you know what kind of resolution I may like to play games at): https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-204-SA&groupid=17&catid=1895

What is the best PC build I can get for £600?

Preferences:
NZXT Phantom styled cases.. or similar.
Intel CPU
Nvidia GPU
Windows 7
No water cooling.

You will not build a PC for £600 that can run modern games at the 4K resolution of that monitor.

How about balancing it out a bit and getting a 1080P or 1440P screen which will be cheaper and then having a better PC that can run games at those resolutions?

Okay, I might go with a 1440P screen, I think this one looks good: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-079-AS&groupid=17&catid=510, but if you can recommend a cheaper one that is just as good as an ASUS one, then that be good and I'll probably be able to go a bit higher of a budget, I think with this screen I can go for £700 anyways.

It might be easier for me to know the total budget for everything, is it £1200 or £1000 etc.

What parts do you need, OS, keyboard, mouse, speakers or is it just the tower+screen.

£1000 with tower/screen. Nope, just the screen/tower, I have everything else and they can all be updated at another time if I ever feel like I need to.. Wifi isn't even an issue either as I have a USB one that works fine for me.

Dont think you can get a 1440P and a decent GFX card able to run that resolution.

No, I shouldn't need it built for me, I have looked at the prebuild deals but I can't really see any that will allow me to get a screen with them for below £1000, unless you can link me one, it will be handy as there are some bits I don't really like going near when it comes to building them. I like the second build. I don't really need the 250GB + 1TB, 120GB + 1TB would probably do me fine.. I only do play one game. I'm probably not so keen in the screen as it is similar to what I have at the moment.

Also, might add I never really play games full screen, I play them windowed as I do other things or have other pages open up for like quick locations of gathering items/raid loot/teamspeak etc.

The CPU has two notches in its side so only fits in the socket one way (and theres a tiny triangle in the corner to line up with another triangle on the socket.

Lfift the socket lever and carefully place the cpu into the socket straight down and flat.

Some people take the socket cover off first or then lower the bracket and close the lever on the side and this pops the cover off for you.

There is always a crunching sound whenever a socket like this is used for the first time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvNnv7nh2Es - about a minute in, she manages to do it just fine.

I built my PC for the same reason, so Heavensward looks pretty :) All of stulids suggestions are great (as usual!)

I went with:
i5-4690k
Z97X motherboard
Sapphire 290 TRI-X gpu
NZXT S340 case
upgraded to 240gb ssd
kept my 1tb hdd and 8gb ram

I got over 9000 (no pun intended) on the benchmark using direct x 11
