Fianlly, desiging my WC setup

As suggested earlier by another poster, I think you should consider getting a floppy drive reservoir. This would create a more efficient system in my opinion due the fact you pump won't have to make any effort to pull the water from the res due to mavity.

It's pretty negligable though as it's not going to take much effort for the pump to pull the water at a parallel level anyway.

i am doing this to make my pc as quiet as possible, so i am trying to minimise the number of fans in the case.
I have already maxed my operton out so there isnt really much gain from ocing on water :)

Although it will look a bit more untidy your new design would be better in my opinion. :) . I've yet to venture into water cooling yet. I reckon I'll probably give it a good go when I build my next full system in a couple of years once my E6600 starts floundering.
