Fibre Channel Switch

Hi

I've been given an old Brocade 200E fibre channel switch to have a play about with on my home network.

Just wondering, can these be used as a 'core' switch? I've got a few HP Procurves with fibre ports and I was thinking of connecting the procurves to the brocade.

I'm not sure this will even work, but any input would be appreciated.

You do realise these are designed to work with a SAN, specifically storage traffic (FC). These are also licensed for the number of ports you can use as well, which can be hugely expensive.
