Fibre Optic and Ethernet cables

Hello.

Should be having fibre optic installed soon.

Will I be ok using my standard ethernet cable from the router to my desktop or do you need fibre optic cables from the router to the devices with in the house? (I wired it up using a very long cable and don't fancy changing it).

Its only fibre to the router, its regular cat cable network side.

Thinking about it, isn't it fibre up to the green street boxes?

I checked on the website what they have to do and before they come to the house they have to do a little bit of work at the green box before installing the router in the house.

It wasn't stated whether it would be FTTC or FTTP

Hope I manage to get 20mb + as im paying an extra £5 a month which ever it is. lol

Just ordering fibre optic. Gone with the talktalk £5 extra a month.

Got to wait till August 20th for an engineer to install.
