I need to connect 2 separate buildings to our existing office to share Internet (ADSL connection) and CCTV streaming (over LAN). One building is 280m from office and the other is 350m in the other direction from the office. The connection will be run through an underground ducting network which also carries power and CCTV cables. In terms of usage, it will be nothing excessive, just for a p2p network sharing printers, internet, file sharing amongst machines and CCTV network streaming using software on computers that makes network connection to cctv recorder.

Obviously copper is out due to distances so I can only think of fibre. Having never used fibre before, I wouldn't know what type I need other than pre-terminated. Can anybody please advise what type of fibre I should be looking at / suggest decent suppliers / suggest what equipment I will need to connect to existing Ethernet network switches?

Thanks

Have you considered a P 2 P wireless link, would likely be cheaper and easier if you don't need speeds greater than 100Mbit.

Its a coastal site and we are finding it difficult with every type of radio device in terms of range and interference so have ruled out wireless. There is also a few buildings in the way of the line of sight.
