I need the following

- Network switch with a fibre optic port and 4-5 standard RJ45 ports (doesn't need to be POE)

- Network switch with a fibre optic port and 2 standard RJ45 ports (doesn't need to be POE)

I have had no luck finding anything, i suck at google i guess.

If anyone could help and offer some recommendations it would be appreciated.

Cheers

Don't you just need a couple of switches with SFP ports and some suitable SFP modules? You'll probably end up having to buy something with more ports than you need, but they should be easy enough to find.

Alternatively just buy some media convertors and use them with separate switches.

I have no idea, i've never dealt with fibre optic before

Basically the situation is as follows.

I work for a CCTV company and we have a site with 4 locations all in close proximity to each other. At each location we have analog cameras which we will be running through an encoder which is then connected to a switch which connects to a central site (where the Digital Video Recorder is) via fibre optic cable.

So basically we need 4 fibre optic switches for the 4 locations and then another one for the central site which they all connect to.

This is how we have thought about doing it, if there are other ways of accomplishing this then great.

You won't find a switch with fibre optic ports, as above you'll have to buy a switch SFP ports and buy the suitable modules. There's a few different media types with fibre so be careful LC and SX are the main types.
