Fierfox does not ask to save passwords

Why is it some websites I log into, Firefox does not show the popup dialog asking if I want to save the password for the site?

Opera asks virtually every site I log into if I want to remember it, Firefox (new clean installation with no add-ons) does not ask me. :confused:

Perhaps they have disabled the option by default? Can't blame them, it's highly insecure.

normally happens when autocomplete is turned off. You can normally edit this via firebug extension for firefox. Once it asks for your password (if you turned autocomplete back on), it will remember it for as long as you need.

Im pretty sure there are other extensions that do this for you (search for autocomplete and turn it on)

Those websites wouldn't happen to be online banking sites (and the like)?

As mentioned above, it's incredibly insecure and now disabled by many websites.
