Fiesta (2003) EAC Fault.

Hey Chaps,

My better half has a 2003 Festa (TDCi), For the past 8 months there has been an issue with the Temperature sensor, every now and then the Temperature light will flash at her for a few seconds and all the icons on the Guage become illuminated. I just put this down to an "Iffy" Sensor and put it on the todo list for when i do a service next month.

Over the last Month, there has been another issue "EAC FAULT" will flash up on the screen and all illuminations will flash (pulse) untill the message goes away, i was not able to get a good enough look to see if there were any error codes etc, i took the car out from cold last night, i went over a low grid but noting to worry about, 10 seconds later i was given the error (yes i went back over the grid but no error, HAHA)

Any ideas chaps.?

I have just been reading about this issue, i DID infact notice a little loss in power prior to the EAC Fault.

Maybe if you waited a bit....

Sounds like it needs it's error codes reading and it'll point you to whatever's faulty. Nothing from what you said jumps out at me as an obvious fault.

I had this on mine, same car, just replaced the thermostat and all was well.

the thermostat, that be for the temp id imagine and not the EAC Fault.?

Aye, the thermostat is a common problem, it's in a plastic housing that weakens.
The EAC is normally the pedal assembly.
