Fiesta MK6

Hey!

Looking at the Fiesta MK6. Have £3500 (Max) to spend. Anyone have any experience with them? Are they reliable? I'm test driving one tomorrow but would be great if anyone knows the good and bad points about them. 1.25 or 1.4 are the ones in my budget. The 1.3 lacks speed.

I was originally looking a corsa

but there snapped up way too fast and most have been owned by boy racers.

The fiesta has a far better drive than a corsa. Either engine is good. Both are efficient and slow, so just go for whichever is available in the trim, condition, colour etc you are after.

my gf has a 2005 1.4 petrol. combined ive personally got 42-44mpg average per tank. it has been totally reliable to date, but the other day i heard a clicking from the clutch pedal. i need some day light to have a look at it.

nice car though but above 70mph the wind and road noise gets bad

1.25 is terrible. I had one as a loan car when my Focus was in for a suspension rebuild. Was driving home from the garage and was stuck behind a lorry doing 45mph so made the big mistake of trying to overtake. Indicated, pulled out and the damn thing ran out of steam at 50mph. Eventually got past the lorry and did'nt try overtaking anything else. The engine has no go at all.
