FIFA 07 - Advice

Hah FIFA 07! Hah! Got your silly undefeated manager achievement using Bayern
I may go for a few of the other achievements as it isn't that hard to win on semi-pro. Right:

For the winning streaks, if i played in manager mode (and build up stats/traits - is this allowed etc) will i still gets the achievements - thinking this way may be best as you can see how many games you've won.
Can someone give me some advice on tackling. I'm finding it really hard to tackle in this version of FIFA for some reason. In 06 you could just run into them and get the ball 9 time out of ten, but sadly its harder here. Any tips appreciated.
Also any general advice on first touches/receiving the ball. In 07 i pass the ball to a nearby player and sometimes he automatically passes the ball on - very frustrating.
And are there any setups whereby i can improve the movement of player in the box during corner/crosses? At the monute there is nothing, they all sad still most of the time in a daze
Finally (last request) what team would you recommend? I used Bayern for the manager mode thing as someone posted they have a lot of weak opposition in their league - very true too!

1. You can pick up the winning streak etc.. in Manager Mode - but you have to PLAY the games, simming will not count - also you can use "My Profile" option from main menu to see your current winning streaks etc...

2. Tackling is HARD, i tend to go into them tapping B to try and overpower them.

3. It auto passes ball on if you press a twice, or if you unexpetidly get the ball and have already pressed a button (has like a memory) when i receive th ball i use the right thumb stick to negate which way to turn.

4. Not sure about movement, best way to cross though - run up a wing, hold LT and hold x for a split second to cross it in low, very good way of scoring

I've not lost a game with them yet, though in my 2nd season i did buy Ronaldo aswell which has helped play up the wing.

okay, so just to check before i jump in......play using manager via actually platying the games and not simming them....

Yes, the only achievement you can get from simmin is undefeated manager.

The winnin streaks/average goals/motm etc.. all have to be from PLAYING not simming
