Basicaly lets just get a thread on whats better. From my experience i love ProEvo but the new fifa realy made my jaw drop. Im dissapointed with the gfx on proevo6 on the 360 they could have made more of an effort. Even though looks arnt everthing. Im not sure on the game play on the new proevo? Also how hard is it to get a game on live?

I don't know what to make of the people who say they are finding it hard to get a game of PES6 on Live. I don't have a problem. Fifa does look nice from a distance but that's about it. I'm not impressed at all by how it plays, other thanthe ball physics, which are better than PES6. That doesn't make a game though. Konami could have made more effort with PES6 but it's still better than Fifa by quite a long way, even if the gap is cosing.

I got FIFA, next to no lag online, easy to get a game. I've not played any pro evos so I'm not going to try and compare the two, but I'm really enjoying FIFA. :)

In a nutshell

PES 6:
+Great gameplay
+Great online experience (I can get a game no problems and no lag!)
+Graphics look great in HD
+Just like old PES' but better
-Poor presentation
-Sound and commentary lacking as usual.
-No editing options
-No save replays

FIFA
-Gameplay still lacking, especially poor player control seemed to occur a lot.
-Still get de-ja-vu (sp?) of the awful World Cup series.
+Lovely presentation sound and commentary. Graphics are great, players look very nice.

All IMO of course. And I only played the demo of FIFA.

in a nutshell that sums it up if your trying to play on an XBox360.

get it on the ps2, and ye su have worse gfx, but a better pad to play with, full customisability, and the same awesome Pro Evo football everyone wanted! win!

Better pad? Hardly, I hated the PS2 pad when playing with it again 2 days ago..

Custom stuff yeah

This is my opinion in a nutshell....

PES = a football game for football fans. Incredible gameplay which recreates football better than any game I've ever played.

Fifa = a football for casual fans who prefer how a game looks, and how it's presented, than how accurate the gameplay is.

I realise that's a generalisation that may upset Fifa fans, but this is merely my own opinion through years and years of playing football games on pretty much every system ever made.

Can't really argue with that other than to say there are a lot of people who believe Fifa has better gameplay.

How does it compare to the world cup version, any better :)

I'm really enjoying FIFA 07 the new physics system is brilliant.

It plays completely different from WC edition as its a completely new engine. I really wish people wouldn't dismiss it as "same old crap fifa" as its now a completely different game. If they stick with this new engine then it wont be far until the gameplay becomes better than the current PES series. The gap between them is no longer so clear.

I think in ways its better than Fifa 06 world cup version. For example, Fifa 07 has more playability, a lot more, but isn't as easy to pick up and play. I'm finding it quite hard to get into, probably cos its more realistic compared to other fifa games.

But this is what makes it stand out. Its tough to score unlike the other fifa's. I'd recommend it. The graphics arent as clear cut as they were on world cup but the commentary is good and really gets you involved in the game.

It's not a new engine at all, it's a new physics engine. It still plays the same as most Fifa games but this time it is a little better. Still not close enough to Pro Evo though. Will it ever be? Who knows...

There seems to be a lot of "snobbery" about Pro Evo on the net. People saying its for true football fans and the like. I enjoy FIFA, and this latest one cant be that far behind Pro Evo in terms of gameplay. I've had some good tight games on live, and the general consensus is that its a lot harder to score than previous versions.

The atmosphere the game creates is fantastic, both in the sound and visuals department. The crowd chant for the home team, the commentary is (usually) good. Playing in the black and white stripes, actually SEEING Owen bang in some goals for my beloved Toon is a magic experience. St James' Park modelled down to the finest detail is well cool.

Anyway, I'm a true football fan and I love FIFA. Many others do to. It cant be that bad compared to Pro Evo.

Agree 100%! :)

Im not overly impressed with PES6 on the 360, its slow paced, there seems no real oomph to the shooting, and the slowdown isnt great.

So i bought it on the pc too (at £18 its rude not to :P), it plays brilliantly, looks every bit as good (if not better) at 1920x1080 in widescreen with kitserver, and its fantastic.

I took a nice screenie

meh why not just play pro evo and find out? you will find it very strange at first - a lot more difficult to play the ball, and do the simple a to b stuff.

this is because pes is on another level to fifa in terms of physics and gameplay. if your happy with fifa then good. the players are wooden in fifa. the shooting, and goals are also hardwood.

get pro evo, feel the lucidity, and the responsiveness that it provides, it is a much superior experience.

PS. the ps2 pad is almost perfect for pro evo.

This is the first fifa ive bought! and i think its class on the 360! Ive always bought pro evo but ive not bothered this time around due to the lack of team names, kits etc. Shallow i know but i like that side to my footy games!

Yeah, I'll give PES6 a go when I've got a bit of cash. Expensive month coming up!(GOW etc)! :)

My point was that FIFA isn't that bad, and shouldn't just be dismissed as rubbish. It plays a decent game of football these days :) . Maybe not as refined as PES6, but I've not played it to compare!
