Fifa 08 - Be a Pro

Another game I've got sitting on my desk in work, if you can wait until tonight and nobody else has posted then I'll let you know :)
 
Unfortunately not, though the mode is awesome :D (Got it yesterday :p). It's just called 'Be a Pro Offline Training' for single player.
 
You can play from the "be a pro" camera in game though (or you could in the demo), which adds an interesting spin to a game with the angle, the only downside was it slowed down to 30fps for this mode, while the standard behind the goal camera which didnt look much different, was 60fps.

If the high street video shop pulls its finger out its bahookie and gets them in today as promised (i pre ordered) ill be going down to get it, i would have to have to goto another high street retailer and pay £50 for the priviledge.

It dosent yet AFAIK. The fifa videos said they were working towards FIFA2010, when they will have full 11 aside online matches available using the be a pro, they hoped to then have the first international world cups, with 11 players from each nation controlling a seperate player.

You have to admit, it does sound a fantastic idea, imagine playing for your country as a left back in a virtual world cup, brilliant idea.

that would be awesome, but imagine if you lagged and cost the team the world cup :(
 
The world cup's i believe would be staged and networked together, not done online, they hope to have an actual world cup in 2010, televised and everything.

But yeh, if you are playing online in 11vs11 and your kid logged onto a pc upstairs and started downloaded porn off bittorent as you were about to hit the winner in an online world cup - that would suck :)

Rooney... to Crouch... he's clean through on goal... he's stopped... he's not moving! Terrible attacking play from England...

The Brazilians have stolen the ball... Ronaldinho puts the ball through Terry's legs who seem to be fixed to the floor... Kaka goes round the keeper... and goes round him again... What's happened to England here...

It just sounds like any normal World Cup Quarter Final to me :)
 
I must say that I was oblivious to this feature until I was watching Gamer TV or something last weekend, and it sounds a great idea if (Big if) people play it properly online.
