Fifa 10 - world XI. Who the hell thought of that?

Well I've been playing fifa 10 for some time and quite frankly every time I look at the world 11 team I'm amazed. Did a kid put it together or something?

Where is kaka, ronaldo, rooney etc?

My team would be (in 4-1-2-1-2):


................Casillas

Dani Alves - Puyol - Vidic - Lahm

..................Essien

........Ronaldo - Xavi- Kaka

.........Messi - David Villa (edited to correct my mistake of david silvia)

Something along those lines anyway, obviously there are a lot of good subs like rooney, torres, ineister etc. Who could easily make the team.

Also classic XI on legendary? What the hell, their crosses are homing beacons. Every other team on legendary isn't really too hard but that team is just sooo difficult to beat. Odly I do best with sunderland against them and i've never really played sunderland.

Anyway, what do you lot think?

Use the editor to make it your own?? I wouldnt use 4-1-3-3 as it tends to concede to many too....

Classic XI are mental, pass it to cantana and watch the goals roll in!
 
I play 4-1-2-1-2 but I acidently wrote it in that order and couldn't be bothered in changing it. It's you're choice how you play them. I just think that should be the world XII. If you look at the current team its a joke. Why messi and ronaldo arn't in it I have no idea. Gerrad should also be a sub at least in it and i'd be very tempted to put him on instead of xavi in CAM.

Yeah I've been playing classic XI on legendary with my sis bf quite a bit today as i've not played in a long time now and it's juts insain what they can do. Sometimes the game just desides they will score and a cross comes in from the half way line onto their head and in and you couldn't ever have stoped it.

Also you can't edit the world XI or Classic. Which is stupid. If they want to make them none editable, at least make them decent. The Classic XI should have maradona and pelle in the starting as well, pelle is on the bench and maradona isn't even in it. Or zidan for that matter!

Not a fan of how good classic XI is, been battered against them a few times (will be tomorrow as well) and your sort of right world XI is a bit messed up. Then again the teams tend to get messed up a fair bit anyway as when they decide on the team sheets, they tend to reflect problems in the current squad opposed to potential of it :( (and is always missing a few good transfers, hence why southampton are unplayable at the start...)
 
True, the game isn't completely destroyed xavi alonso. That guy is useless. 62 acceloration or something like that. 65 finnishing. All he can do is passing shot and long but in fifa 10 all you do is short passes and any player can do that so it makes him completely useless as a playmaker. I always sub him off as he is a waste of space. Diarra also was given something like 30 for finnishing and he's a cmd who oftern gets up front anyway and when you give him the ball he can't hit anything. He's a far better player in real life then the game portrays.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but lampard is really bad in the game too. Something about him. I find his passes are oftern poor and he can't hold the ball. His stats may say he can but in practice I oftern find he can't. He may be bugged or I may just be imagining things.

Out of the world XI I listed only puyol, lahm and david villa are in EA's one.

The world XI is basicaly the "best team" EA could make out of all the current players. Unfortunetly it's a shocking team and is worse then spain's team in my opinion. Either that or it's to do with fifa's players of the year picking possibly.

The classic team is picked by EA of the players of history they feel have been the best. Once again it is renouned for being largely considered wrong by most people. Personaly I feel peter scmicheal was better then shilton in goal but they picked shilton. Pele on the bench? No maradona or zidan or kroif? It's just a poor effort at best.

If it hasn't changed since 09, then why the hell is ronaldo not in it when he was the best player in the game?

I did also suspect there would be license issues but I fail to see why such golden oldies wouldn't want to be seen by all the younger people who would likely look up to them.

Sorry I did infact make a typo. I ment david villa because I rate him highly. I consider silva to be CAM.

Intresting you think messi isn't best up front. In the real game he is very effective at coming deep. But I feel in fifa his best role is being a fast striker who can easily put it past the keeper every time.

As above I ment villa instead of silvia and I do like iniesta a lot. I think I would have him on the bench maybe instead of essien though. I'm not sure, I haven't compared them stat for stat. I do very much like the spanish team and do find iniesta, xavi, vilia and torres to be a killer teach together.

I have only used the team twice and both times I had to completely rearange it so I'm unsure if this is the case. Either way I have never been impressed with it.
