Fifa 12 Pre-Order

i was referring to the packs being free, they aren't free, you simply paid for them when you bought the game, therefore its not free packs, yet they are advertising them as so.

therefore that is dodgy business from my point of view.

lets say you used to go out for a meal at a regular place and the dishes you like usually cost £20-£25, they now say when you buy the dish you get 4 free pints, but the cost of the dish has changed to £40.

i know i wont be able to pick this up for £20 that was a one off, couple of years back and they learned their lesson, but i was hoping for below the £30 mark, £29.99 or £28.99.
OMG stop being so anal and making a point I would expect from a primary school kid - obvious point is exceedingly obvious...

Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a supermarket price war nearer to the time but I sincerely doubt the standard edition will be £35+ on launch. I bet the supermarkets will be doing it for £29.99. As for the special versions with the codes and stuff I completely agree with you, you pay extra for those things, you don't get them for "free".

at least you got what i was saying, the packs aren't free, your simply pre-ordering them as well, dodgy business by EA imo.

is there a standard edition? i cant find it anywhere online, EA might be pushing these special editions and not making many of the standard.

they probably make billions though ultimate team, now they are trying to bend us all over.

Seen a standard version for £38 on rainforest the standard version is £5 MORE than special so it does seem EA are pushing the special edition as a way to get more money and get more people hooked on buying packs for ultimate team.

Im bored of ultimate team, didnt bother with it in fifa 11 so not going to pay more for the priviledge in 12. Never needed to use ms points for packs anyhow.

Going to wait and see what the supermarkets do it for on launch day personally.

anybody who is going to go to a supermarket, do not go at midnight or before that time.

best time to get there is after 1am, by that time the hundreds of people who have waited for 3 hours have all been served.

walk straight in, wait 5 mins, get the game, walk straight back out, i personally dont think its worth waiting 3 hours bored out of your head in order to play the game 1 hour earlier.

they have more than enough stock these day's, what they do is over order, and then what doesn't sell gets sent back. so long as they have a competent manager, they shouldnt sell out.

Hey guys,

I played fifa12 at a press conference/community thing today. Just a heads up that the PC version is really good. A proper version this time and actually ran much better than the console versions! If anyone has any questions at all fire away here or on my Twitter. Click my sig for Twitter as I posted quite a few first Impressions today.

I can't wait till it comes out. PC is actually getting a better version than consoles! Finally.

Yea, but what will UT and clubs be like? Does it have the full feature list and what about dev support?

If those are just as good as the console version, than I'll probably get the PC version. As long as that stutter that was in Fifa 11 (pc) is gone for ATI cards.

Don't think I'll be getting the ultimate or special edition I don't really have an interest in UT, I spent way too much in the fifa 10 version. I remember fifa 10 being £25 in the shops and fifa 11 was £30. It's one game I'd happily pay full whack for due to the insane hours you get out of it!

the standard version is £5 more on amazon than the special edition, therefore you would be better off with the special edition even if you dont play ultimate team, use the packs, and if you get an expensive player, sell them on ebay or sell the coins you get from selling your packs on.

if you are lucky you could hit a rare IF and potentially end up making money.

IF Drogba was selling on ebay for £90 the week he came out.

"For the first time ever, FIFA 12 on PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system, and PC will have the identical game engine and feature set when the game launches September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide."

And I can't find the video where David Rutter confirms that everything the PC is getting "is in PC". Over and over again.

Good point but it won't be £42 at launch!
