FIFA 13 controls

Hi, I've just bought FIFA 13, and havent really played a FIFA game for 4 years or so and im struggling to get to grips with the controls. I've had a flick through all the game modes and ended up getting hooked on player career mode. I'm crap at controlling a full team for the time being (Houston dynamo!) and have been playing control single player matches. I'm using an Xbox controller and classic controls, but can't find any guides in this particular play mode

Can someone please tell me what the buttons do when your player is off the ball? Ie RB puts a picture of a head above your player but I've no idea what this actually does... The tutorial in the game is gash....

If your using a 360 controller put it to classic
a = pass
b = shoot and also when you aint got the ball it barges the player off
y = through ball
x = cross and slide tackle
lb = change player
rb = finess shot and bring a 2nd player to help tackle
lt = skill button
rt = sprint
lb and y = over the top ball
