Fifa has all the licensing and the looks but every player is still basically the same speed as each other.

Pro from what I remember was all was more free you could go round players without having to do some ridiculous 18 button trick but didn't look that great and kicking the ball sounded like kicking an empty box.

So Which do I buy this year?

But the last one hasn't got much better from the one before that, besides if you go past a player they usually catch you up which is really annoying and not what always happens in real life.

Why haven't they got every stadium on there yet, it has been going twenty odd years....?

I thought the last good one was 2006 but I hear it is making a come back.

Pes 2007 was on par with FIFA, Pes 2008 was a cracking game, best Pes ever. It's been FIFA ever since. Unless you had an Internet connection and could update the game Pes 2010 was unplayable it was a complete joke

I thought the PES 2013 demo was pretty good and a big step in the right direction when compared to the monstrosities which were 2011 and 2012. FIFA has stagnated over the past few years in my opinion and they've been focusing their efforts more on the multiplayer side of things rather than building a deep and rewarding single player campaign like Master League.

You should play the demo of each and then decide which playstyle you like better because even though they're both football games they are both a rather contrasting portrayal of the beautiful game. FIFA is based more on the technical side of the game whereas the second demo of PES 2013 felt very much arcadey. They're both quite good in my opinion, but very different games.

You appear to have already made up your mind, if you're arguing against the very first person who suggests you should get Fifa.

And you're wrong by the way, they don't "usually" catch you if you go past someone. If you're a fast winger, and you go past someone, they won't catch you.

Because they have something ridiculous like 500 clubs teams in the game, and I'm pretty sure that...

a) the licensing for all 500 stadiums would cost a ridiculous amount of money

b) the amount of room needed on the disk to accurately model 500 stadiums would probably take up the entirity of the DVD

But rather than ask us, why don't you just download both demos and see which one you enjoy the best? Seems to make the most sense to me.

I bought Fifa 2010, but unfortunately I absolutely hated hit, mainly because of the dire club league mode. Master league is all I play in football games. If Fifa doesn't have a similar level of depth then I'm not interested. I like how PES has the license to Champions League and Europa League, it makes the league modes in PES more atmospheric compared to the Fifa I tried. Fifa legaue mode just felt very bland in comparision.

Also, with the latest PS3 system update whereby you can bulk copy files about off USB stick, the once admittedly tedious process of installing an option file to correct teams/kits etc, is a thing of the past, so there is nothing stopping you chopping and changing option files till you find one you like, and there are still some very dedicated option file makers out there for PES, GTM is the obvious one that springs to mind.

What's so special about Master League? I remember it back in PES6 and it was nothing special. For me, I'd rather play in the "proper" leagues than in the Master League, at least how I remember it.
