Ive never been one for football games but fancy trying Fifa. Ive played the demo and quite enjoyed it.

However - I dont follow league football and dont know anything about teams, players, leagues etc. I do enjoy international games though.

If I were to buy Fifa 09 and only played the international side of things, is there enough international content in the game to keep me happy?

Its mainly more aimed at the league side, If you want international football games i strongly reccomend Euro 2009. Very cheap now and is also very good =)

you can do leagues, cups, tournaments - all sorts of things. custom as well as standard (i think) plus there is the be a pro thing, where the ultimate result is to become an international.

i've only just got it myself so i've not delved too far into it, but if the previous incarnations are anything to go by you'll have loads to do.

yep, you can create a tournament with international teams. there's also nothing stopping you from being an international team when playing online.

If you buy Fifa 2009, its all about playing online really. I dont think there is enough on any football game to keep you playing offline for long. As much as the CPU gets better every year, there is no substitute for a human player.

Thanks for the suggestion of Euro 2009. Can you not recreate the World Cup or Euros in Fifa 09 though?

FIFA 09 is a lot better than Euro remember, Euro was a mix between 08 and 09.

Will you play online? I think 09 caters for all football fans whether club or International fans tbh.

Euro was a transition to Fifa 2009.. I liked some of the features..might be worth checking out though as it would be quite cheap now
