New Fifa is moving away from ignite engine to Frostbite Engine.

Thought Ignite Engine was best thing to happen to a football game? Only two years worth of fifa on that engine and now they choose Frostbite. I be very interested in finding out why the move? Least we get a engine designed to support modern technology like ultra wide-screen or high refresh rate monitors.

Frostbite at least has full support and mostly all EA titles now use it so hopefully it'll have less bugs, Ignite stutters bad on 144hz displays and has stupid slowdowns then speeds up.

I'm certainly looking forward to the full trailer! I hope it's awesome! I saw a thread on Reddit where someone noticed that the inside of the stadiums on show have been designed... I wonder if a more in-depth career mode or manager mode is in the works!! Fingers crossed!!!

I would imagine it's to bring all EA products under one engine, so they can put the Ignite coders to better use elsewhere.

IIRC they were going to do the same thing to C&C before it was binned.

I always say I won't buy it this year, then I buy it.

This year will follow the same pattern, EA has my football obsession by my short and curlys.

I just hope they try and change up MM for once and breathe some new life into it. Not everyone plays UT.

Absolutely hated FIFA 16 to the point I never bought it. I'll give 17 a go with the demo but if Konami (but still, **** Konami) improve PES in the areas it sucked in last year it could be fantastic and I'll probably end up with PES.

The press conference is at 9pm, likely more info and gameplay in that.

The career mode looks exactly what I've wanted!... but after the horrible "Spike Lee" experience with NBA 2K16, I can't help but feel a little apprehensive...

Please be awesome!

Was really disappointed 16 dropped the weekly challenges, I really enjoyed picking up a match part way through and trying to overcome a losing position or have to score x no. of goals. Kept me playing with teams I probably otherwise wouldn't have looked at.

Never saw many folks complain that it was gone so doubt it'll be back in 17.
