Fifa for pc - is it popular?

do lots of people here play it on pc? I do, but I hate consoles so im pretty biased, I obviously use a controller. do people prefer playing it on their gaming pc or console?
 
Looking at the pc version for FIFA 13, the things that worry me are that on Xbox live on the 360 I have friends to play against I won't on pc. Will the graphics be better or the same? Now 13 supports Kinnect substitutions and tactics will this not give the 360 version the edge?
 
It was very popular when i was playing in the first 4-6months. Some epic matches which i will remember for a long time. Shame i lost interest after i couldnt get stable in league 3.
 
I have FIFA 12 on PC and still play it daily. Unfortunately, I don't have the internet but when I did there would always be an online match as soon as you want. It is very popular online.

The graphics are better on PC due to the higher resolution. There is also a higher framerate so it plays a lot smoother too.

I can guess FIFA 13 will be exactly the same.

I definitely recommend it.
 
Its just a shame that EA's servers suck so much, ultimate team and euro 2012 seem to be down on a regular basic, anyway, that aside, I switched over from 360 to it and Its identical with higher res graphics.
 
Fifa is very popular on PC, plenty of clubs , many users on with that head to head etc. Lobbies tend to be full as well for games. Graphics are much better on pc but overall its just the exact same game, ported from xbox in every way.

a lot of interest was lost in fifa due to the hacked pro`s situation, even though EA took action, there is still many people out there with hacked pro`s. Spoils the game for much of us.

But best football game currently on pc, sorry we are forced to accept it as theres no other competition to fifa as pes is a shambles since PES6.
 
I personally wouldn't make the switch from my xbox. My friends all play it on their xbox's and when I have a "Fifa night" It wouldn't be the same all crowded around a PC.

I agree. I switched to FIFA after the brilliant PES 6.

I thought the PC has Kinect support now?

PC graphics will be a good bit better considering all the mods available for Fifa 12 on PC.

Personally I much prefer the PC version, 60FPS@1080p compared to 30FPS@720p on a console feels much better and smoother.

Can you point me in the direction of some graphics mods? not had any luck finding any
 
i ran a a league here with 20 people and almost did finish it but some lost interest.

i also made a OCUK club too. was resurrected a number of times and last time it was on it was quite succesful as we got into teh top 50 in the world and in division 1.

I would set up a league here but there are far too many ego's in this forum.
 
Hopefully Fifa 13 will have a lot of improvements, each year they seem to only add a couple of small things.

One thing that has annoyed me for many years now is the difficulty, it's either too hard or too easy, they need a middle ground. It would also be much better if the CPU would shoot further then 3 yards out they always seem to try and walk it in.
 
Has the orIgin issue been fixed?

Also what gamepad would people reccomend?


Was going to buy PS3 to pl;ay this, but that will cost £200.

I think i'd rather pay about £40 and play on PC?


Any suggestions/advcice would be appreciated.

I have a wired xbox controller for playing pad games on PC( Fifa, some racing games), works very well and would recommend it. Just plug it in and it sorts itself out in most games. I've had no issues with origin in regards to fifa 12, what issue are you talking about?
 
Me and my mates play it with controller connected to the PC. It's a hassle getting PS3 controllers connected, but when you are playing the graphics are amazing. The only downside for me would be most of my other friends are on PS3, and they are constantly playing online with each other and trading. Where as next to nobody plays on PC. :/

I can't think of the names of the mods or where i got them but there's one called Graphic Switcher 12. It has different face mods for players, more realistic grass and you can do like a Champions League theme on it.

I just typed "Fifa 12 mod" into Google and went through the various websites.

I just can't play online or play UT as every time I attempt to I get disconnected from the EA servers and I haven't managed to work out how to get it stable.

Lots of moaning on forums about it but no solid fixes. I'm doomed to only ever playing career mode by the looks of it.

Thanks, I want to play online. So the PC version looks like a non starter.
