FIFA for the XBOX 360...?

Hello all,

Sorry - I'm a newbie 360 owner.

I understand that there are two FIFA games available.

is one called: FIFA 06 and the other 'RTWC - Road to The World Cup' :confused:

Please could somebody confirm which 2 FIFA games there are and which one is the new / better one.

RTWC was EAs way of getting something out for around the launch; AFAIK you can only play the qualifiers.

2006 FIFA World Cup Germany came later, includes the whole world cup, and isn't half bad.

There will no doubt be a 'proper' FIFA 2006/2007 before the start of next season.

As far as I know it's already been announced.
 
RTWC = great gfx, limited single player, active multiplayer base and old style fifa football

WC = poor gfx imo, expanded but still limited single player, and a bit more PESY style to the gameplay


i have RTWC and played it to deat, just got WC 2day, so yewen watch out :p
 
You think RTWC has better graphics? I couldn't stop laughing when I played it.. all the closeups reminded me of Bo-Selecta :p
 
Anyone know if you can play 2 people on one pc with a Live acount each, and then against someone online?

Oh and WC > all other fifa's I have played.
 
I bought 2006 FIFA World Cup because it was going cheap online. It's OK for a laugh during the World Cup, but you're better off looking at Pro Evo 5 on the original Xbox if you want a decent football game.

The ball physics in FIFA WC are terrible and the players are unresponsive. And what's the with power bar? It's too small and in totally the wrong place to be visible! The commentary is awful too and is totally wrong half of the time.

It's a good game if you want easy acheivement points though. :p
 
after playing this all morning RTCW >>>>> WC, we wont go into PES , but WC is a poor game, the gameplay is screwed, in RTWC on live i have a great defensive record as of late, in WC the through ball is too easy or the defense AI is carp, as it just trickles through, normally i win 5-0 or so, ive been scraping 3-1 and lost 4-3 etc, the ball physics are weird and its just all over the place


once ive completed it its getting sold and im keeping RTWC

Turn the difficulty up or try the challenges. They made this one easier out of the box so it would appeal to more people.

I much prefer FIFA WC, it just seems so much more playable to me. It's definately much better online than single player, obviously.
 
Neither game is worth a tenner. WC is slightly better in SP mode until you try the Global challenge. Then it falls apart.

I love footie games but I'd rather go without than play either of these again.
 
Never played RTWC but the latest effort wasn't half bad imo.

I'm enjoying it although it did take a bit of getting used to.

It isn't a power bar (it is on the PSP version though) :p


Its for the height of the shot, with power apparently being determined by the players stats (i.e a if shooting at close range, how good their finishing is), the position of the player and where defenders are positioned (i.e next to the player or not).
 
Me and my friend are getting quite good at it.

Beat him 6-1 with a few crackers, getting used to shooting from range now and love volleys.

The tackling can be annoying, especially against some star players.

The single player experience is dead for me, but 2 people for a hour or so it is very fun, getting the most multiplayer use on my 360 by far.
