FIFA get tough on racism

Not sure how they will enforce it, you could just get fans going to the wrong end of the stadium to cause trouble and get their points deductions. Could work.

They would probably get found out, could be the only way for chelsea not to win the title though :D

It's good that they're getting tough, but what sort of proof will be needed to enforce this.

I can see supporters from rival teams obtaining tickets and stirring up trouble, knowing they could get the club into trouble, so there needs to be strict guidelines and proof that those responsible are actually supporters of the club concerned.

Hefty fines and/or prison stretches need to be dished out to those responsible as well.

It's good that they are doing something, but this could be hard to organise and enforce. We won't know until they actually start doing it though, and if there are any problems then the system can be altered.

I think it's a real shame that people have to be told racism isn't acceptable.

It'll be almost impossible to enforce correctly, but even if FIFA just releasing their attentions puts one vermin off abusing players, it's a step in the right direction:)

Edit: Rangers & Celtic will be in trouble:

Article 3 of its General Provisions states: "Discrimination of any kind against a country, private person or groups of people on account of ethnic origin, gender, language, religion, politics or any other reason is strictly prohibited and punishable by suspension or expulsion."
