Fifa officials 'offer to sell 2018 World Cup bid votes'

These things surface now and again and only news because we have a bid. Sadly it’s part and parcel of how some members of the FIFA Executive Committee operate. The same goes on with the Olympic Games. Without doubt it will be swept under the carpet as these things always are.

In other news, FIFA vice president is a filthy racist scumbag, and Sepp Blatter knows **** all about football.
 
My favourite aspect of this is how there are stories now saying 'This might hurt our 2018 bid!!!'

Lets be honest here, the English bid organisers know it's corrupt, FIFA knows it corrupt, every fan knows it's corrupt which is why people are ignoring the actual story and focusing on what it'll do to our bid.

Blatter will sweep it under the carpet as he always has.
 
FIFA stinks - all these countries voting with back handers and promises for future favours in other votes like 2022 seems ridiculous.

Russia, Spain/Portugal and Netherlands/Belgium are the competition.

The best bids should win, and surely we have the best stadiums either in place or planned to be built, with backups in place already

looking at the table below the other 3 contendors should also be due a world cup but the best bids should win

If the USA wins the 2022 bid, they will have hosted the games twice in 28 years. If we lose out in 2018 we have hosted only once

thing is, they'll want to give it to a nation whos team has a chance of staying in till the latter stages....
 
I can't believe the FA is now busily trying to sweep this under the carpet in order to secure the world cup in 2018.

If the allegations aren't freely investigated and the people involved exposed I don't want the world cup in England.

The FA shouldn't be worried about exposing FIFA to be the corrupt bunch they are. They should be using it in their favour not running scared. If people decided to break the rules they should be surprised or offended when someone finds out.

The English press / F.A haven't helped our bid.

Honestly didn't see us getting it anyway, I thought it would go to Russia (fits in with what FIFA are doing)

I don't think England have the infrastructure to cope, The main selling point of the English bid was we would make FIFA the most money iirc :(
 
FIFA amuse me greatly, so apparently the media who expose their little corrupt regime are 'unethical' and they use the 2018 bid as a threat.

Just who exactly has broken the rules here... unbelievable arrogance as usual from FIFA.
